Anglo German RailwaysHello honorable fellows of steam,
I have to admit - I nearly missed STWWW 
But as the steam shack is - as yet - not really a busy place, I would like to add some photos about my loco collection, which - to be honest - is more a by-product of my steam collection. But one that I appreciate more and more. It all started with the big Bowmann, then I added the Marklin R4000 and later the Bassett-Lowkes. I do love the valve gear of the black Stanier Mogul...
Well, I have fired the Bowmann and the Marklin. The only problem are the wooden floors of our flat. And since a test run of the green BL "Enterprise" nearly ended in burning down our kitchen I am a bit reluctant to try again (I can almost here Mooseman snigger up there in foggy Wales as he knows the story...)
Anyway, I add a short video of the Marklin (and a good friend in the background. Yes, the glass is empty...)
May I dedicate this to my Grandfather - Herr Oberlokomotivführer Georg Hesse - who somehow managed to implant the steam and railway gene (not genius  ) in all his three grandsons.

I especially like that "2945" engine! The valve gear is very interesting, I suppose it's non-reversible but I bet it's smooth. I would like some more detail on this particular engine. It's very nice.
