Another Renown WindmillI just received my Renown windmill today and as you can see it needs a lot of work.
The boiler is in pretty good condition its just that heaps is missing from this engine.
I'm not going to other to list it all as its pretty obvious what is missing.
All parts that are missing are possible to fabricate but this will be a long term project I think.

That should keep you in the shed for a while.
Are you going to do it all yourself or are you going to ask someone else to do the vanes for you??

I've already downloaded his photos of the jig he used to solder the vanes and Brandt has also been kind enough to produce a CAD drawing of the vanes and hubs so I guess when I get to that part (When ever that may be?) I'll probably be making them myself unless Brandt volunteers.

Thats going to take a long time to make all those parts! 
Its missing the flywheel too? might have to keep lookout for another to make one good out of two?

The flywheel is there its just in the wrong spot but the large pulley is missing but luckily I have this one to copy.
I will either turn one up or if I ever get my foundry going I'll cast one.
But yes it is going to take a while

Ah wel at least the flywheel is there, thats the hardest part to reproduce! 
Is it a different colour to flywheels one?

Yes, mine was got at , the base colour was green, and the windmill sails red, must say a prefer them the silver colour they are, but not so bright and shiney,  .

These Windmills are getting to be a common, LOL.
What there looks good tony, and if I can pull my finger out in the new future I will get the rest of the plans done for the support and pump.
Yours is the older model to mine, are the vanes and boss the same size on both, Chris might be able to confirm as he looks to be the same vintage as that one.
Let me know and I will have a go at making you a set of vanes.
