Five monstrous Triple Expansions in one house! Awe inspiring. I have driven past that place many times, little did I know what was in there, I wonder if any remnants are still in there. I did not think it was open to the public, but now I will have to investigate. It will probably be months from now before I can find out though. The Colonel Ward Station is in Buffalo New York isnt it? Sandman The Ford museum in Detroit has a great display of all types of steam locos, beam engines, T.E.s and generators. Well worth a visit . Amazing.     johnreid That one in Dearborn, a suburb of Detroit and the Smithsonian in Washington DC are both museums that can take many days to go through. fcrammond The engines are all still in place at Cincinnati. Apparently the engine house is sunk into the water table and someone calculated that if they scrapped the engines the loss of weight would allow the whole structure to rise up out of the ground like a breaching Bowhead. So the engines are intact but the boilers have all gone. As I understand it there are occasional organised visits.
