bit beyond my price range though (well its not but im sure it will be!)

wonder if it would go round mamod curves?
MTA

If I had £150 I'd snap it up!
Mamodman123

No thanks

Supose its a start but I'd have 2 change the funnel for a start. Putting improved pistons on it would be a pain in the arse too.
SPOKESMAN

Id like to see it go.

I like the idea of the realy short wheel base. You cant see it clearly in my Avavtar but my merlin (the red one) has got a realy short wheel base for an 0-6-0 and Ive never had any trouble running her on any line.

what I like about the loco is the way the existing pistons have been sliced and bits of SE3 con-rod soldered on! Very clever. I wonder if Mamod would have made something like this had they survived the bank managers wrath (wonder where he is now, and what he's doing with his FIVE Mamod sets!)

That's a very clever modification.... a great bit of work by someone.
Titan

I wonder if he got away without modifying the porting on the cylinders?

longer piston rod = less piston 'wiggle' = shorter duration on the port openings.
James

I thought exactly that but didn't know how to word it!
