Yes they are. In fact they come on and off more easily than the later type. Just lever them off with a screw driver or pliers. | ||||

thanks roly, i plan to strip and paint the wheels, any hints for masking the old style wheels |

Hmm - tricky. I've never repainted the old style rolls and I can't see an easy way of masking. All I can suggest is to use several short lengths of masking tape overlapping the paint and then cut round the inner rim with a sharp knife. |

Mick if you're spraying the wheels put a smear of grease or vasoline where you cant mask and wipe it off after paint. | ||||
