Arnold Sawmill

I recently picked up my first Arnold accessory off ebay.

This one came from the Netherlands with expensive postage. ($35 )

Manxman

Great condition and a rare model. I like that one.
Nick

Would you guys like to see it working by the light of a Jensen?
Wallace

Very nice Nick

Yep, give it a run

How about two Jensen lights?

I will have a video ready in an hour or so.

Nick

It didn't go quite as well as I had planned.

This was my setup:

But while I was testing the engine, the light bulb burnt out. This is how I had to do it instead
(You can see the light is lit):

(Yes, I had a small flashlight to his back. I hope to get it back to the original setup
sometime soon and get a better video.)

Very nice accessory, good pictures but the video is a bit gloomy.

Nicks camera has no sound.

I was having a look through my new book, Steam Toys A Symphony in Motion.

I was looking for this accessory under Arnold, but I counld not find it. Then I made it to the Falk accessories and at the top of page 141 & I think I have found this accessory. The man looks like he may have some very small differences (like his moustache).

The book also states that it has a strong resemblence to the earlier toys by Arnold.

Anyone who has this book, can you please take a look and see what you think?

Thanks for the help!
Wallace

Just had a look.
Yours certainly does look very similar to the Falk one
In fact so close I would have classed yours as a Falk. Only 'cos I can't find a pic of a Arnold one elsewhere.

What markings do the Falk and Arnold accessories have to identify them?

They are very close, so close it is virtually impossible to tell the difference as neither of them have any markings at all.
