today i officially released the mellifont gallopers driven by my now completed sw1 converted show truck. supporting this display was my meccano ferris wheel and tempsi gee whizzer driven by one of my te1 s. the carousel featured 5 gallopers and 5 prancers. these were made by matchbox in 1989 to 1992. glenn will feature the carousel and what he needed to do to it to convert it steam driven as this was a hand crank model. the truck was working at a steady pace but not flat out. glenn made a special pulley for the side so as to get the power and the revs. named after my grandfather who frequently toured the local fetes (brisbane australia) with his carousel driven by his trusty truck. he delighted everyone with his show. i guess its in the blood. hope enjoy the vid.

Thanks for the vid.
It looks like you have got the scale speed just about spot on for all of your rides too.
I didn't realise that carousel was so big and the music goes perfectly with it.
How did the display go down with the kids?

The kids loved it. Mesmerized. Some of the mums as well. The dads were more interested in the workings though. The horses got them all. thanks Tony

Liz, a dandy display, I liked how so much was going on simultaneously. A real work of art and an honor to the family gene!
