Basset Lowke Streamlinierlast year my grandad bought me the hull for the 1930s basset lowke streamliner boat since then we have aqquired the Eclipse engine for it off ebay for £36 (a very good price)but i am still looking for the boiler i was wondering if anyone new any iformation about it or anyone has any old Basset Lowke cataluges MTA now someone who is archivist for the basset lowke society and i have borrowed a few catouloges of D R Mercer (makes Mercer engines) if we can get mesurments for it we will be able to make one but if i can purchase a origional it would be better the reason i am having such trouble finding it is the fact that this was the top of the range when it was made and cost a huge sum of money in those days |
