Beast RollerDoes anyone remember me getting this very large and strange roller.
Well I've taken it to pieces given it a clean and re-painted some of the parts (the last paint wasn't original and was very poor).
I think it looks better and is interesting when 'parked' next to a Mamod or Mastrand. Even cleaned, it is still one very ugly engine.

It's a bit of a bruiser Manxman I must say

I like the look of that - does it run?

Tiny little piston and a monster of a body . Probably does run.... can't imagine it would be breaking any speed records

more realistic speed than a mamod roller

Piston works. Just about turns the flywheel. After that no way of getting drive to the road wheels. The flywheel is not grooved so can't see how to run tools without adding extra cogs etc.
The whole thing is not very safe. Needs loads of pressure to move anything and is just not very good. The more time I've spent with this the more I'm sure it is 'home made'.
Seems to fall into the "seemed like a good idea at the time" group of models.

Home made would seem logical - no makers mark, there does appear to be some sort of badge on the chimney stack.

It was the badge that made me buy it. I now think because of the size of the engine, it could be something like a walking stick badge.
