Bing 10/19.2Bing 10/19.2
From about 1920s arrived a few weeks a go but went on the ever growing ' to-do' list of steam projects.
Thanks to Petri (MrDuck) who kindly sold me a spare chimney i got the zeal to spring it over line of projects and sorted it yesterday evening. I have steamed her and she runs like clockwork. The dynamo , bulb and switch work fine.
If ever i find another boiler i will replace this one as i can see that i has some dodgy soldering work done on the end caps at sometime in its near 100 years of existence.
Video will follow
Here are this pictures.

It can be done, but it's a right royal pain in the backside. I think I'll try the silicone tube on my Bing, great idea.
Absolutely gorgeous engine....I'm really drawn to the Bings, a dangerous development....

Looks very good indeed. I have a Bing Stirling with similar faux tiles (as you can see in my avatar).

Its a fantastic solutuon Moose, you do not even need to use gaskets or sealant with silicone tubing. You just stick it in the hole

It's a beauty, Kenneth. They sure knew how to finish off an engine "good 'n proper" back then. Everything looks
like it's meant to be, and anything that isn't just right is not included. Like, steam engine feng shui.

A very good example and the silicone tubing tip is well worth knowing.
