Black Mamod workshop accessories.I don't know what the opinion is on changing colors(on new parts) but I'm pleased with the result:
(From the "what metal are they made of" question in the Technical tips forum.)
Regards C.
Edit: Yes, the drive wheel should be the other way around, but it's not mounted yet.
Edit 2: Pics of the finished workshop are up, please scroll down.

I'm of the opinion.
'It's yours so do what you want.'
Looks good too.
If it was an old rare engine then I would say keep it original but new things like that I'm all for personalising it.

Looks good, I like the little brass hex head screws too. I'm with Tony on this one, unless it's a very rare piece it's yours to personalise as you like!

Thanks for the nice comments.

Agree, but on the other hand if everybody did the same (not likely though)what would collectors say in 200 years.
(Sometimes I also wonder if "Brasso" will polish todays brass boilers into oblivion in 2400? )

Its ok mine will survive as I'm too lazy to polish them.

I'm also "clear", I only have two (unpolished) copper ones...

Go for it, it may inspire Mamod to change the colour themselves.

Hi!
Finished!
Parts before paint:
Assembled the "nude" hammer just to see how it looked:
Maybe a wood base would had looked god together with that, or what do you think? To late now though...

Thanks, I agree...
Btw, asking as a accessory newbie, can I use Wilesco springs for the drive wheels?
I've also seen a type of green plastic? "string" you can cut too desired length and heat fuse together. Are they any good(besides the color which I guess you can change)?
