Brighton Modelworld

This weekend is Modelworld at Brighton!

Actually it's Friday to Sunday - 3 days of unadulterated steaming on the 'Ttarrag Shed' layout...

There was talk of someone steaming some Mamods etc on a stand, not sure if that idea came to fruition or not...?

If you're going this weekend, do pop over & say hello!

Chris (Garratt100)
Mamodman123

Forest will be there, he told me today
MTA

I think the stand with the Mamod's will be next year Chris, it was all a bit short notice (in my book anyway) but I think we will definitely be having a forum stand in 2009 at ModelWorld

As I have said previously Chris, I will be there Saturday and Sunday so I will see you there
James

Look forwards to the pics!!

When I am old enough, I'll come down on the tractor and living van for one or two of these events!
Garratt100

You are old enough James lad!

I saw you at STIA & your taller than me, so get yourself a train ticket...

Chris.

Just got back from the first day (for me anyway!) and it is a great show

I had a really good chat with Phil from Forest Classics, and I came away with a music box (of simple design) for a tenner, and he chucked in a driving band for nout

Just got to find the time to fire up an engine and run the music box now No pictures today, but I will endeavour to take some tomorrow

I met up with Chris Moody, who owns a fair few Garratt's to say the least The John Britain, coal fired ones are definitely something to behold I think he has also convinced me to fire my SL3 Which I might add is in mint and unfired condition

Phil is a legend!

Without him I'd have two buggered up TE1v's

Glad you had a good time MTA, steady on with the SL3 though

I am not going to ModelWorld today, I didn't tell you this last night but I fell off my bike on the way home due to some ignorant motorist who doesn't know your not allowed to get that close to a cyclist when overtaking...

So this morning I have a splitting headache and it is rather painful to walk
James

Sorry to hear it MTA

You should have sorted him out!

Sorry to hear that Si, hope nothing too serious

Cars and Bikes dont mix well, once I learnt to drive I realised how vulnerable bikers are
MTA

Nothing too serious luckily just bruises. My front light copped it the worst, as the back has been smashed off exposing the batteries

James, it was dark on the way home (despite a clear sky and the moon was shining brightly) so I couldn't get a glimpse of his licence plate
James

Bloody hell!

You're 16 ain't you? Get a 3 wheeled car!

Nah, I am waiting for a 'proper' vehicle (don't shoot!).

Tom, I think when I am legal to drive a car and have a licence the bike will only be used in the summer

I gather them Peels are safer in the meantime AND you could have gone all round STIA in one
James

From me Bebo page....
