British Vertical Engine CollectionThis is the smallest segment of my vertical engine collection and comprises two Wilson Bothers and a Burnac Vulcan-
The smaller Wilson has all of its original paint apart from the flywheel.

Very nice additions to any collection.
And it's nice to have such fine examples from your homeland.
I started working on an American Collection and
I was surprised just how many manufactures there have been.
I'll probably never know them all but I am learning more by the day.
I have no intention of having every model built but a
representative from as many manufactures as possible is my goal.
Since starting about a year ago, I have collected
77 engines from 20 different manufacturers of which,
41 examples are from 10 different American manufacturers.
Needless to say, I am neither married nor have I children to feed.
I not only love the steaming aspect of this hobby but I find the history to be interesting and amazing.
Every time I restore an engine I feel I have preserved a small piece of history.
I'm sure we all feel that way.
My only regret is starting so late in life.

Three very desirable engines.

Superb engines Peter. I like the fact they all appear to have lubricators. It's not something I've seen much on single acting oscillating cylinder engines

The Wilson's do have lubricators but the Burnac doesn't.
