casting?i want to buy a engine kit but almost all require casting!! how do i cast? can i cast at home? all these sort of questions!!!

If you got a kit would it not include the casting ? some suppliers offer a set of machined castings

my impression is that you would need a lathe and milling machine to use to parts in the auction to build the said engine. they already cast but need finishing i think

Indeed, you would need a lathe and a milling machine to machine the parts.
Plus, the money to purchase all the other bits to complete the engine.
Building an engine such as a Bridget is not recommended as a first engine to build.

my uncle bought one of these kits 25 yrs ago. what you are seeing are the raw cast iron parts which need to be machined to size. the drawings will reveal the many other parts that will require a very experienced person to complete. it appears that some work has already been done on some of the kit parts. after machining some parts my uncle became very aware of the time required to complete. he sold the kit and bought a near complete one and finished it!
