Depending on how much I need to spend to get my Project loco going I may list my Bowman on ebay OZ or may except an offer on it prior to listing it.
I'm deciding whether to sell it as is or restore it and which one to sell.
Of course being a greedy type of person I don't want to sell either but a new baby arriving in a bit over 4 weeks tends to eat up most of your free cash.

Not sure yet Del Boy
Depends on whether I buy the missing bits and build a burner for it but postage back to the UK would be a killer for you as it cost me 50 pounds to get the two posted to me.
You would probably be better off watching ebay UK.
Besides I can sell it for more in OZ as I've never seen one on ebay OZ.

They can trundle around quite nicely on their own
You've got an advantage over me, it's inside and level ground.
Should be able to pull rolling stock, might be a small leak around the gaskets at the front, or the forward reverse block. Quite common.
Meths and uprated valves will help with some more power, but a standard stock loco can potentially pull 11 open wagons just ask Mr Wilesco for details

Good stuff. Cute dogs too.
I found mine runs better if I pull the cylinders away from the port face slightly and drop a few drops of oil down there and then run the wheels back and forth a bit to suck it into the cylinders.
I also found that before I got meths and upgraded safety valve it would go along the straights quick and slow down a lot on the bends. You might find that you are suffering from just having bends. (My track was new, and some of that might have been to having fairly thick paint on the track that has now started to wear off a bit).
Just had a look to see if I had some video clips to demonstrate but I don't, sorry.

You do need a good oiling Chris! the steam oil is ideal for it. Get some on the piston rod and that should do the trick . And oil everything that moves
They do slow a little on curves... but not too much
You get some good (Dougie) you get some bad (Rosa, well not anymore) it's a pot luck really.
Dougie is total stock including solid fuel and it performs extremly well. The pistons are so well run in they just drop into the cylinder when you have them out.
You may just need to run it on blocks a load of times.... but it's a rare set, just over 1000 made

Thanks for the comments -- we were really pleased with it's first run. We did oil it well. We ewre not sure how to use the solid fuel tablets so broke on in half and just poked those inside the feul tray. It probably needed more than that. Cheers Jilly-Graham

You need 1 tablet, half it and it slots in two places

That video was fantasic, G-J. You could tell the dogs were getting bit by
the steam bug. We'll have to create a special section for them on the forum.

For an engine not run in that went quiet well.
After I fitted the new cylinders to mine for the first couple of runs it would only run for about 30 or 40 seconds before stopping but now its ran init will go as long as there is fire and water.

Mine went straight away with the new cylinders
