It depends what you would classify narrow gauge as in Oz. Here it goes thus:
Standard gauge is 4 ft 8 1/2 inches,anything below that up to 15 inch gauge is considered narrow gauge. 15 inch gauge is known as 'minimum gauge' as Sir Arthur Heywood thought it to be the minimum gauge that could be used to perform a suitable work load. Between 15 inch gauge and 2 1/2 inch gauge is miniature gauge
