Countershaft RecommendationsCan anyone recommend an appropriate Countershaft for my recently purchased Jensen 25? It is likely that I will be using it to run about 3 or 4 of the Wilesco fairground accessories. Unless, of course, anyone can advise similar accessories of better quality.

Richard, Wilesco make 3 lineshafts (countershafts) that are well made and would serve your purposes.
M50
M55
M57
One is short, one twice as long and one set up as two 6 inch shafts at 90 deg. to each other...they come with lots of pulleys.
I would personally remove the diecast supports from the somewhat flimsy metal bases and screw them firmly to a wood base, but the supports, shafts and pulleys are first class. I believe you can find them on Yesteryear and Ministeam websites...$25-40 USD approx depending on size.

Rog is right. The Wilesco lineshafts are well made and the 90 degree piece is particularly adaptable if you power several bulky toys at once.

The wilesco accessories are also a lot of fun. I haven't seen many lately on ebay, but I got mine all for around $20 each.

You can also buy extra pulleys from any dealer that sells Wilesco parts.
The lineshafts turn up on ebay regularly too. Not just Wilesco, but all of the old brands as well. You might save some coin there.
