Cutting drivebandsWhat is the best way of cutting the metal drive bands without kinking them? I have some unjoined ones and want to cut them down.
Thought I would ask here before I ruin any trying.[/list]

I'm not really sure Chris The only way I could think of cutting them is using plyers and just snipping them
Are they the ones that twist together? or have little hooks?

I cut one the other day with a very sharp pare of sidecutters and it joined ok

I use either a very sharp pair of strong scissors or special wire cutters/snips.

You might find a mini drill (dremmel sort of thing) with a cutting disc is good if you can get one. Because it is cutting rather than squashing you do not get the distortion.

They are the ones that twist together. I will try some sidecutters and see if that works.
