dave & jack toy steam rally part 2

[color=red][size=18][size=18][color=red]Hi there,
I am writing to start to organise the rally and I need some details of the people who are coming.  We can provide tables but unfortunately we are limited to how many tables age UK actually have so if you can bring your own that would be a great help.  The tables we can provide are approx. 6ft by 2ft. We can provide electric but we are requesting you bring your own extensions as the hall only has 3 electric points.
Could you please provide me with the follow details via a private message Subject heading age UK rally.

Name,
Contact details including email and phone number,
How many tables you will need?
Do you need an electric point?

Please find a picture attached of the official rally poster.

The rally details are
Date: November 10th 2012.
Address: Age UK citizens centre, Kings Walk, Earl Shilton, Leicester,LE9 7NL
Time opening to the public 11am until 5pm
Time you can arrive 7am onwards

There will be tea, coffee and some food available.
You will receive 4 free tokens for drinks.
There will be a raffle for exhibitors only.
Phil from forest will be having a stall there.

All The details are on the poster below but if there is anything you need to know please do not hesitate to contact me via the forum or my partner Lyzette can be contacted on 07817044670.

I hope to hear from yo
u all soon.

Nice poster but I'm not too sure about your claim to be the first in Earl Shilton. I remember having a steam up in a pub somewhere over there  back in the seventies They gave us nice white paper tablecloths to protect their tables and Bob Fleming managed to set fire to his. You can't take some people anywhere.

I'll remember that for next time I see him.

If any Leicester lads are doing it count me in.

Will get back to you on that one as I forgot the damn measurements,

Even if that can't go I'll PM you my details in a moment and I'll bring my mamods and stuff for a steam up, they haven't been out for over a year!

That's cool, i won't be needing electric.
Dr. Rog

Do you want me to bring the playpen?

It needs two solid tables, preferably the same height for obvious reasons. I prefer it if others also bring their mobiles to run on it as it is hard work keeping something in steam.

If I do bring it then I "need" only one other table for exhibiting/parking/Conan roundabout. Preferably immediately adjacent.

You could run mobiles on the floor if you have suitable safety barriers of course.

I can bring a folding plastic picnic table, which should be good for the Conan roundabout, and sitting about drinking coffee, buy not a lot else. It will do for my "other table" if we are restricted.

I can bring a pasting table, but it is rather weak, better than nothing if we run out.

Have you a risk assessment sorted?
m8dave

Dr Rog is bring his play pen so he any of you have got any mobiles and want to run them around I am shore he will let you
Swift Fox

I'll make sure i bring my green SW1 if the playpen is going to be there.
Casey Jones Snr

Dave, I will be there. I will need a table, no electrics, but I can bring a long extension cable with 4 sockets if you need it.

MrMamod

You and Jack deserve the publicity as you have both worked hard to get the event organised ect.

And the loco front represent!

Yes, I may well now be there. It will involve a 45min bus ride form Nuneaton bus station [3mins walk from the train station]. I'm prepared to do this - but if anyone is driving through Nuneaton town, is it possible I could get a lift please? I'd be happy to pay £5 for petrol.

Cheers

NOT to be missed
Dr. Rog

This was a great event.

I would like to say a big thank you to all those who contributed, especially Dave and Jack, but the whole clan made a terrific idea into a wonderful day.

If it ever happens again it will surely be worth a significant journey. not least as there is a cheap hotel just next door

Thanks again, I had a wonderful time.

Meccano day should be good also. I should have around 20 steam powered Meccano models plus whatever else comes along.
DavidP

Thank you

to David, Lyzette and all the other helpers.
This was a very enjoyable day.
