SPOKESMAN

Decals/logos/stickers

Looking at the utter rubbish being peddled by some sellers on ebay (some of it Im sure has come from members content here). Im going to do this properly. The attached pic gives and idea of what I intend to do - a Restorers/renovators decal set tailored to suit engine restorers.

All logos will be stickers not decals - they can be used on all surfaces although fireboxes will always be a problem. All will be lasered onto sticky matt or gloss paper and there will a number of designs on each A4 sheet - ie value for money.

What do members think?

They cant be lifted either

They are a hell of a lot better than what is on offer but I'm wondering rather than doing Mamod ones that normally go the firebox why not do Bowman and Luton Bowman ones that go on the base and any other ones that are fixed to the bases as then heat is not an issue?

Two of A and one of F can be lifted not watermark on them.

I look at it in the next week or so, I have some loco sticker artwork to sort for Tree Ted too.

It can be bought commercially - I have a supplier.

mike at some point would you be able to make the gold

ill definatley need a pair on them for the back and side of my 6 wheeler would that be ok ill pay whatever

Lewis, try a hobby shop.

One near the town I live in sells it, proper decal water slide paper.

Don't know what it's like, but imagine it'd be ok.

I really need to get my finger out and sort these - Im fed up with seeing utter crap on ebay.

I intend tyo put several on a sheet of A4 ie value for money

So Im looking at various 'Restorers decal sheets'

such

Mamod various (1937-85)
Bowman various inc Luton
SW1 and TE1 sides
Loco sides
Hobbies various
DV1s
Mamod miscellaneous
Other steam engines eg SEL . .

and so on . . .

Just finding the time to do it is a problem . . . .

You need one of the scalloped edge types SG - even Chas has a batch of reasonable decals in at the moment.

Im in the process of sorting out a restorers sheet amongst loads of other steam stuff!

I will be eventually removing all traces of my logos here at some point, as the many hours I have spent draughting them needs to be rewarded, all decals will be available - done to the highest professional standard from me.

Yes. I so know that. Work is crazy at the moment. In everyday until about 7.30pm and I'll have to do at least one day at the weekend. Sometimes very little time for steam toys.

Ive done the loco stuff ted - Im in the process of moving stuff to my web site, as this thread will become redundant - all decal ets will be on my website instead - sorry to members.

To ensure that I have control over my work lad. Also to drill home that poor behaviour is not not rewarded by me still posting my hard work for you to take for granted.

it would be a shame to loose you spokes, your artwork is great, i hope you can sort your differences out.it is good to have different views on this board. if we all thought the same then the board would be a boring place to visit.

I will be starting on a new batch of ideas soon, amongst them G&G badges, SA1 drawing, possibly some OZ engine badges, Mamod misc labels eg 'Fit scuttle here' as well as updating an improving some of the work already undertaken. If some members are interested in any then contact me. Work wont be available on here here yet as I have sort copyright watermarking for all my work.
