decals

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here. I hear some of you talking about decals. have you seen the MM2 decals offered by FOrest Steam? They look great. And they have the 'gold' effect ink of the original decals.
Does anybody know if you can buy the old-style Wilesco decals (blue/silver oval)?

Also I wonder if many people here have Fleischmann engines? I have three stationary ones. if anyone has any information about the company I would like to hear it.

Regards,
Mark.

Hi Mark,

Most of us buy our Decals off flywheel or Mamodman on the forum as flywheel has made up just about all of the Mamod decals as well as Bowman, Scorpion and Renown decals and they are very good.
Proper decals made with paint not laserjet ink as sold by some people.
I've personally not seen Forest's decals so don't know anything about them but have bought plenty of other parts from him but I'm sorry I don't know of anyone who sells old Wilesco Decals though.

Post some photos of your engines and I'm sure someone will be able to date them for you as there are several members who collect Fleischmanns.

Oh and Welcome to the forum.

Hi Tony and everyone else. This forum is pretty good and it seems everyone here is pretty helpful.

Yes I would like to post pictures of my Fleischmanns' and other models.

My question (without sounding dumb): How do I post a picture with my topic/replies?

And how do i include a small thumbnail picture next to my username?

When I joined this forum there were diferent options to click on but I never knew what they meant. Was this something to do with it?

Thanks guys,
Mark.

To display a phto on the forum go to photobucket.
http://photobucket.com/
and set up an account, its free and only takes a few seconds.
You then upload your photos there.
Once you have uploaded the photo below it you will see 4 line. click on the one that says img code and then paste the  line of code into your post and that will bring up the picture.

Now to have a picture (Avatar) next to your name, first find a picture you like no larger than 120 by 120 pixels and smaller than 49K.
Go click on profile (Its up the top of the page below the title)
Now scroll to the bottom of your profile and you should see.
'Upload Avatar from your machine:'
Click on the browse button and find the picture on your PC
Then click submit and thats it.

Welcome to the forums!

As far as i'm aware the only decals with the original 'gold effect' are the one Flywheel61 supplies. Ask him about them, as he's your 'local' supplier

Forrest classics, Paper and steam ones are just ink jet print offs!

Welcome to the forum, I have a Fleischmann 120, a 122/4 and another one to be added to the collection soon.

A great source for information about Fleischmann is
http://www.fleischmann-toys.de/Fleischmann/index.html
it is all in German but Google or Bablefish should help a bit

Hi, another welcome. I also own a Fleischmann. Mine's a Roller. See you have come to the right place.
