Desktop Problems.

I`m having a spot of bother, my computing life is in chaos!

The taskbar, which has always been along the bottom of my desktop has suddenly decided to stand up, and stick itself to the right hand edge of the screen.
It`s been there for several days now.

I don`t know why. I don`t care why.

BUT it`s driving me BLUMMIN MAD!

Can someone PLEASE explain, in simple words, how to get things back to normal?
mc_mc

You've probably accidentally clicked on it and dragged it there.

Just drag it back to where you want it to be with the mouse.

You can then right click and choose properties and then 'lock the task bar' which will stop it happening again.

My computer wizz son told me the same thing (over the phone).

But the only way I can move it is to the left, widening it almost to the centre of screen.

You must be clicking on the border (which resizes it), try clicking and draging on the main gray (or blue!) area.

You Sir, are a complete STAR!

I got it right first time.

You`ve saved my sanity, and probably my marriage!

It`s all so easy, when someone explains properly.

THANK YOU, sincerely.

No problem, glad you fixed it. It's a good idea to go into the properties (right click on the task bar) and choose the lock option to prevent it happening again.

The taskbar should never ever be anywhere but the bottom!

Glad you got it sorted! can be a pain when it decides to go 'walkies'

Thanks everyone!

I`m not of the computer generation........... my son is.

When I`ve got in a frustrating tangle, (usually something "simple"), I have often have to wait a few days untill he calls in.

He sighs, sits at the keyboard, and the cursor flies around the screen.
"That`s all you have to do".

Oh? Hmmmm! (Whadidyerdo?).

This was the first time I have appealed for help elsewhere, and it was really satisfying to sort it "myself".

I`ll be back!

David, in many cases with computer glitches, we can help sort you back in a jiffy...no need to wait a few days for the son, you got "family" right here

Really nice "family" too!

It`s lovely to feel a part of it.
