Hope you find something | thanks .ive been looking for sometime now, if one turned up on ebay i would bid very high indeed as i have a personal interest in these machines. the traction engines just dont look right without these machines some where near. after all on a rural scene these machines were the reason for the traction engine existence.well according to both my grandfathers who left school around 1910 to work the harvest trail and later on their farms(and other duties)

I've seen a couple on ebay Germany, usually go pretty high though.
All I can suggest is putting this link in your book mark and check it a couple of times a week until one comes up.

The few that I have seen have been quite expensive, you might need to brush up on your modeling skills.

ive just read a email from the seller he stated. it was 39 inches long overall.28inches long minus the rear chute.10 inches high.8inches wide. he also told me that it was part of a steam set with a model case traction engine (coal fired). at the time the maker wanted $4300 for the tractor but was later sold on ebay for $6300.this suggests that a te1a may not have had the power to drive it. the measurements suggest that it would have looked alright at the end of a long belt against a te1a but rather a little big standing beside it. it is still a wonderful model and serious food for thought.

Hi XL about how big would it need to be to be in a similar scale to the mamod I would have thought 12-15 " but I'm not to familiar with thrashers

Another avenue to look at, I believe that there are Die Cast models of Thrashing Machines etc. I know there are various Farm implements that are made of Tin and Steel. You might find something along those lines that could either be used Static, or modified to appear to function.

i spent some time a while back looking for some pics to make one from. try these:
http://www.tanygraig.force9.co.uk/John/ransomes.htm
click on the makers book at the bottom.
http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatal...scale___________RETAIL_ONLY_.html
scroll almost to the bottom, some nice traction engines and accessories, some nice boilers and a mill engine in 0 scale. there is an o scale thresher for £50 and a elevator for £40, look very good.

thankyou very much. this info is invaluable. im emailing them for actual size but i think it may be too small to match up against a te1a. thank again. i must admit some of the other models are very tempting.
