Dremel toolsDoes anyone know if you can get a larger chuck for the Dremel. I'm not wanting to drill big holes, but I use my dremel on a stand and spin parts for cleaning. Nice to go to 5mm from the satndard 3.??---

I have been though their website and that is the only one I can find.

I spent an hour or so trawling the net this arfo and all I found was a couple of guys who have adapted Jacobs chucks from 1/4" hand drills. I would have thought that this would be a popular mod ---

Might be cheaper to buy a variable speed drill

It's all about the size John. When I work on a restoration, I do it at my desk, so space is at an absolute premium. The Dremel lives in the footwell on it's drill stand so it's readily accessible.---

Same with me.
I've looking to improve this but have not found something adaptable yet.
The multichuk is not big enough.

Don't you mean bigger collets???

The biggest collet measures 3.4 mm, the hole in the holder is 3.9mm. As far as I can tell these are the biggest parts available---

They probably havn't got enough grunt to run anything bigger, they do tend to "die in the rear end" under load.
Enjoy Petrie!!
