Easter Monday steamingsAs It was Easter Monday I decided to fire up a couple of engines.
The first was my 1929-1935 Meccano engine, Which is complete execpt for the handle on the reverse lever
The second was my Bing verticle from about 1924-32. This has a replacement chimney and sight glass but otherwise steams well. I hope to get my larger Bing into steam soon.

Thanks for the videos! I liked the Bing.
If my variac comes today, I'll fire up my Jensen 25 to test it out. I'll post a video in here, so lets hope it comes.

Nae, mate. I've still got my "Breadboard", single-(plywood)board computer taking up my usable bench space.
Just about done with it, though.
Also had to service a fan in the server, and that thing is an adventure to disinter for servicing...
On those Meccano engines. Is the boiler shrouded in thinner sheet?

yes. 1st of all here's a home made Wobbler ,a friend built.
(my 3 inch model boiler's providing the steam for both engines) he didn't have a suitable boiler.
another he made- see the 3/4" bore, slide valve thumping away in background
