Empire safety valveI need the safety valve for this engine. I believe it is a 430, circa 1950's. It is a large hole, fine pitch thread. Nothing I have will thread. Electrical and plubing types, nothing fits. I feel that I can not steam it with out this part!!
Thanks in advance!!

See my post in your ebay thread, if you can't get one you might be able to make an adaptor- or get one made, for the collar, so you can use something like a Jensen SV.
Cheers

The only source I know of Empire spares is a gent called Don Stilson who makes, or at least used to make, a limited range of very good quality replacement parts. The SV is integrated in the chimney on these models, and I do believe he used to carry those....no harm getting in touch. Here is his website:

I have not yet gotten a reply from the empire guys....
Anyone else out there can maybe tell what the heck the thread is? Then I can at least make an SV for now! I can't seem to find anything that will thread in there!!

Donsteam sells a lot of things on Ebay, I think it would be worth the effort to email him, remember though that some people get busy and some do not check email every day.

Ok.. Ok... I will wait a few more days. *grumble* I wanna play with my toy!!!! I did manage to steam it with another steam source, no big leaks, engine runs great. Going to have to make some bushings tho, way too much play in the flywheel bearing points.
