engine of the month....Just a thought, but how about narrowing the engine of the month polls down a bit, and do them in categories, month by month?
For example:
-Best home build
-Best modification
-Best totally original engine
-Best mobile
-Best loco
-Best boat
.....you get the idea......

I like the idea. Perhaps do a theme month every second month or something like that?
It would be nice to have fewer entries being eliminated by the flat hat before they even get to the polls.
There's already a precedent for this: Last December's xmas theme

How about putting the forum-text in the middle and below the pictures.
Like 1st place picture, 2nd and 3rd....one next to the other, in a row.
As somethims the votes are very bare...

One of the main reasons i don't like the idea is...
If lets say you were to enter a homebuild and it didn't get drawn out of hat on the month when homebuilds are feautured.
You would then have to wait several months before you can enter that engine again.
