Engine unit ID HelpHi guys!
Been bugging me for a while, got it as part of a job lot about 6-8 months ago. Any idea what this engine unit is to? I haven't seen anything to match it with

MM...it looks similar to my 1961 era Fleischmann in the uprights supporting the crank, the cylinder, con rod and even the flywheel. Base is an unknown.
My guess is that it was made by Doll who's parts were later taken over by Fleischmann hence the commonality of them with each other...but it's too old to be Fleishmann.

Is is a doll engine...the riffles around the end of the cylinder show that...also the darker painting...that engine belonged to steam toy like this one:
