engines you have builtthought I'd start a thread of pics seeing as I know several people have built engines here.
Doesn't matter if they are not finished, it would still be nice to see them all in one place!
I'll start with my two ossy engines which I made when I was in 6th form and had nothing better to do! First one is a single actor and the second is a double actor, based on this animation in fact! It actually works really well in real life!

Here's my (unfinished) "project":
It's on ice at the moment, drilled a (misaligned)hole in one piston, ...and got fed up , may take it up sometime.
The plans are from here, number 7:

My first home fabricated engineExcellent topic! I just recently got involved in home built steam engines. Here are a few pics of my first engine.
I chose a simple oscillator for my first project. Aside from having to drill the holes quite accurately, there seemed to be allot of room for error. I used scrap from some earlier projects to make it.
I used an aluminum/brass composite design, as that was the only materials I had. Note the small oiler and throttle control valve I added.
I didn't have enough brass for a full size flywheel, so a made this Aluminum/brass two tone. I tried to keep the theme and did the same to the crank wheel.
It turned out pretty good and runs great. My dad loved it. I gave it to him for his 70th birthday.
My next project will be a duel cylinder double acting oscillator roughly twice the size of this one.

Yes, I realize the size of the photo's. I'm new here and didn't know how to resize the pics.
