favorite car?after the favorite song and alcoholic drink topics, what about a favorite car topic?
My favorite car is of course the car I now own
although in the light of global warming totaly wrong, I just love the soft ride and the sound of american cars
I must admit, for a american car it's not the coolest around, if I ever win the jackpot, I want something like this:
(but it's more likely that I sell the car I now have for something smaller...)
So, what's your favorite car?

My favorite car Is a 1964 chevelle. My dad has one, its got a 454 HP engine and its a sleeper.
I want it for a highschool car but, no way, is what my dad said

I used to dream of owning a Porsche 911, now I am satisfied with what I have. If I was to win the Lotto, I really dont know what I would go and buy. Sporty, but practical what ever that is.
I always wanted a 59 Cadillac, but that would not be an everyday driver.
Erik, a Caddy would be much nicer than the Lincoln

In the last year that I've now owned this car I've also noticed that it isn't the ideal car to use as a everyday driver, parking can be a real challenge here in the netherlands.
there are also a lot of nice caddys, but I just love that enormous nose and the small oval back windows of that lincoln

That's a beauty MM, and an early one too. It has FORD written on the grille, the later ones used the Ford blue oval badge.
The ultimate fast Ford has to be the RS200, 650 HP, 0-60 in about 3-4 seconds Thats why they banned them from rallying.

Sadly there arn't many about today. As you say they have either been used for Rallying, and the rest have long gone to the scrap yard in the sky.

It's because it's a two door. It will be destined to be a rally car, so the furry seats will go, and it will have an engine of about five times the current horse power slapped in

25 is a lot better than some of the 4X4's that go around here

I looked this up on google, it seems, it uses a hydrogen/ petrol motor.

basically a Citroen Saxo is the same as a Peugeot 106, just a different body and interior styling. The reason as I'm sure your aware is that they come out of the same factories.
The 106 in its most brutally basic version is a amazingly simple machine. My mums one ran out of coolant and the whole engine just threw its toys out and revved up and down and up and down and was just a mess!
Dad pulled out the tiny block, filled in the pitting which was allowing coolant into the sump (and thus draining the tank) with metal filled epoxy and job was a good un. It ran for a further two years before it got rammed by an SUV and totalled. This brought about the saga of the Berlingo, again the brutally basic one.

I have owned my share of full sized pickups, but mostly for work purposes. Those dualies will pull a trailer like none other. It is a little impractical for a drive to the store or general errands. However mine were usually GMC, I miss my last full size, it was a 3/4 ton 4X4 K2500 Sierra. It had the V8 and all, but still got around 18 mpg on the highway. I dont need a big truck any more so I now drive the mini pick up.
It all has to do with what you do with the vehicle. Some people need a truck, some dont.

what makes me angry is when someone who lives in a suburban home drives a huge suv or pickup truck. I guess its ok if your a handyman, but a soccermom does not need a full sized suv to pick up groceries. why don't they drive regular cars, so people who drive suv's or pickups to pull or haul don't need to worry so much about pollution.
