I have been wanting to try out my Fleischmann 120/2, but I couldn't find a small enough burner for it.
I eventually put together a meths burner made out of the filler of an old disused burner.
The original Fleischmann burner took one Esbit tablet!
Very pleased with this unexpected addition to my collection.

What a wonderful engine...

They might be small, but still a lot of fun to operate, it is a beauty. The original burner held only one Esbit tablet so that burner is most probably sized appropriately.

A lovely little engine!
With a bit of luck I'll own a similar one in about 14 hours.
Here's hoping.

I had one of those, but the boiler was junk. I still have the engine though, I mounted it to block of wood, and run it on air.

Silent running!!
Amazing compared to the awful clatter mine makes! But then it’s old & very battered & am sure those nice, cast bearings make a huge difference. And it’s just so unusual to see an engine of that era in new condition – a perfect little jewel.

for the burner, you can fashion a tray out of some tin or realy thin steel and soak a cotton ball in paint thiner. runs longer, harder, and very clean
Les
What a lovely smooth runner.

There's another jumble sale coming up next weekend.
Might find a big Fleischmann this time.

Paint thinner? Not too sure about that.
