Fleamarket finds!! (non-steam related)

I was on a big flea market today.
Mainly you can find on this market old car and bicycle parts.
You know these sorts of markets, you can find some wonderful stuff there!
But this time no luck for me, no steam engien bought (there were just some overpriced wilesco's for sale)

Instead i bought me this here.
You will say it's silly and stupid, but i kind of like it, very rare and hard to find over here in germany

This one came originaly from Harrod's

Paid 8 euro's, a fair price for this funny cap

Also,
I bought this one here.
Not really a fleamarket find....
It was on a fleamarket, sold by and older man.
He wanted 150 euro's for it
It was a lovely watch, but way too expensive.
...the other day, i was browsing ebay for such watches, i found exactly this one (the old man HAD ebay and tried to sell it there)
So what can i say; i sniped me this nice watch for about 50 euro's and you can guess the man's face when i came to pic it up

The pocket watch is made of 935 sterling silver, it is completely swiss made and marked "the military watch"
Works quite okay, the only bad point is that the cover is a bit worn at the point where it closes (happens when you close the cover without pressing the button   )

With that Deerstalker hat and fob watch you will be Sherlock Holmes re-incarnated!
Ross

that hat Is cool!   but I woulnt wear it! (no offence)

I really like the watch. I would wear that for sure
MooseMan

A deerstalker!

Oh yes indeed I would wear that!
Dampfzauberer

Aah, I don't think i will wear that hat in public
But who knows, maybe one day...
The days over here can also be foggy, rainy and cold

I'd like to ask here another question you might know guys:

Is it possible to solder silver with standard solder?
I'd like to attemp a repair on the lid,  alittle drop of solder, so the mechanism does clore right again....
Bugsy

Why not take it to a jeweller?
Shouldn't cost much and he would know how to do it.
Lozza1

The price of a very nice fob watch - 50 Euro

The look on the old mans face - priceless  What the heck?

oooh I think you would look quite masterful in a deerstalker moose

Don't let your wife catch you smoking a pipe though
you'd need a good head start to keep ahead of her  What the heck?  Train
Sandman

Some nice items there Mirko.

How about a pic with you wearing the deerstalker???

I bet you'd look very distinguished.
Les

Great finds Mirko, I would take the watch to a jewellers and at least get at estimate for the work involved, doing it yourself could bugger up the watch.
TE1DRIVER

that watch is wonderful i have my grandads fob watch not quite as grand but i'm going to get it repaired and use it
Burnmafingers

Nice purchases, I'm liking that watch
Les

Did you get the watch repaired Mirko??

No not yet.
Watchmakers are silly expensive here in germany.
He told me he would have to take the whole clockwork apart, so he can clean it, put it together and oil it.
That will cost me something like 120,- euro's

So I will just leave it now as it is.
It is working and shows the time quite accurate (I think about 1-2 minutes to late each day)

For the evryday use I now got me another watch:

With a train on the back
BTW it is an old russian watch, so this one can hard be killed
