Fleischman punch press

here is the link before picture
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260930633635
And after

my first restoration.

might change the base color, & need to add a Fleischman decal from somewhere...was rough when i got it & leaning badly. completely bead blasted (walnut shells as not to distort metal)
whistleman

really look good. well done Bruce.
Les

Wow, what a transformation.
magpie38

Simply superb
flywheel61

A great job Bruce, I suggest you contact member verythingeoff re the decal.

The only thing I would change is to use a slot-headed (cheese head) screw instead of the Phillips head.

Cheers

Send me a PM and tell me which logo you need, with the dimensions and a postal address

Very nice Bruce....agree with Flywheel that a slotted type screw would look more correct than Philips.

Love that color!
tmuir

Good price and a great restoration
Sandman

Now that is a fine job.

I disagree, if the original slotted screw has gone walkabout then a hex-head screw would be more appropriate for a model machine.

And what a machine, what a transformation.

Very worthwhile too as these are great presses, very smooth and rather pretty.  I have one too and I am very impressed with it.
mrborinator

That's indeed a very nice transformation, very nicely done.

Rob.

I agree, on the slot head, it originally had chrome rivets there ( i still have them) but they were mostly worn out & thin, after seeing it posted those hex head bolts really look out of place...Geoff ( verythingeoff) has graciously offered to make me a logo...Thanks Geoff   , i think I'm going to try another restoration as i really enjoyed this one.
airspyder

Nice restoration Bruce,
Here are a couple pics of mine, maybe this will help Geoff with the decal

On mine the lettering is a very shiney gold.
More so than is evident in the pictures.

You have transformed that scruffy accessory nicely!
St. Paul steam

suggestions implimented

found original size rivets to put back in & also Fleischman decal from Geoff installed...thanks to all

MrDuck

That looks just original and very good now
Dr. Rog

That is so good.

The angle of the photo makes it look like the punch is not quiet lined up with the die, does it need a tweak of is it an illusion?
Gary279

You are correct...tried many times to bend it back to line up with die to no avail...just bent other items like eccentric at top...rod is straight & die is in the pre-drilled factory holes, only thing i can think of is the factory holes where drilled off, decided best to just let it be.
airspyder

Nice job Bruce,
The punch looks great and the decal is perfect.

Cheers,
