Fleischmann 120/1 c1962It may not be the biggest or girthiest Fleischmann by far, but it is still a Fleischmann.
I got this a few weeks ago with the help of John , and now it is on my website I thought it was time to post it on the forum.

I like the base colour - NOT! You didn't get it from Sandra did you? [/code]

That believe it or not is the original colour, maybe Sandra had a younger relative working for Fleischmann.

I have polished and polished on my 120 an have never come close to the shine yours has, great job.
They are small, but still a lot of fun. Nice addition to your collection Les.

That base color!
Les, didn't you laugh at the bases of my two?
Now I'm going to polish mine up to get them looking as nice as yours.
Is the cap on your whistle cracked? Both of mine are.

Thankyou for all your comments.
John, all I did with mine was use a piece of fine wire wool and some Simichrome, and a little bit of elbow grease.
Roger, it does not seem to have had a lot of use at all, still I will rectify that soon.
Nick, I probably did laugh at yours, the colour is not too pleasant, but it is a Fleischmann at the end of the day.
My whistle cap is not cracked at all, but the boiler does have dent where the whistle fits.

That's great Les.
I never knew Fleischmann made the smaller engines.
I really really like that

I have a picture of the 120 along with the 122/4 and the 135/2 so one can see the range in size. All fun engines.

I kind of like the colour, its sort of psyhodelic 50s/60s.
Heres my small Fleischnmann, same as Johns, though missing burner and stack

I bet that Meths burner makes it get going fast. The burner that mine has holds one Esbit tablet. However it is fun having an engine that doesnt take much to get going too. the smaller engines can be a lot of fun.

It didnt go for long though John, and the Bowmans burner is not balenced too well
Les have you run yours yet
Agree I like the smaller engines for a change, they do have a certain character and you can fit more onto the shelves as well

... I love it, Les! And the base colour! Makes it unique ... you could put a steam valve into the long steam pipe (I keep suggesting this ) - controlable speed would add to the fun ...

What is that Web Site Les, is there a section for Bing ?

IT has Fleischmann and Doll but all is in German, however I think it is the best reference site for Fleischmann out there. I have been very tempted to ask if I could do an English version and use his site for images and a template, but fear he would say yes as it looks like a LOT of work. Still tempted
