When I click on your photos I get the message that Chad™ <greasemonkey> (that's you, right?) wants his photos to be kept private.
So I can't see 'em.

myspace = bad
Post 'em on Photobucket. I look at stuff like this @ work, and myspace is blocked. I block it @ home as well.. to many viruses and spyware.

I think NS123 is planning to use a freeze plug as an end cap.
He mentions it in the beginning of this thread.
| Quote: | | Definition: An expansion plug located in the side of an engine block that is supposed to protect the block against freeze damage. Water expands when it turns to ice, and if the coolant doesn't have enough antifreeze protection it can freeze and crack the engine block. The freeze plugs (there are several) are supposed to pop out under such conditions to relieve the pressure on the block. |
I wouldn't recommend it as they are made of steel and will eventually rust.
But they certainly look like end caps!

well they do have them made out of brass now (the only one the parts house had in stock was nickle plated) its just so bulky

Good plan with using a core plug for the end cap .
If you look hard enough, you should be able to find one in brass.

i now have one
i just need to take the excess solder off the boiler and then attach the freeze plug
