Fred Dibnah Statue unveiled in Boltonhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7373440.stmI thought a few of the members here would be interested to see an article on BBC news regarding Fred Dibnah statue in Bolton. I would have thought they'd have modelled him with a pint of beer in one hand, standing infront of his traction engine with the typical broad schoolboy grin! |

if he had fallen down 6 flights of stairs then gained a couple pounds He was a great and kind man and they cant even be bothered to hire a decent sculptor

Guys, it might not look just like him, BUT it's STILL a memorial to Fred. There's not much chance of him ever getting forgotten now, wether it looks like him or not.
I for one am proud to say I contributed towards it! |

But surely they could make it a bit more realistic...and maybe even out of his favourite materia-Iron? |
