Havnt started yet...
we have to move a large shed from the bottom of the garden to the top so we can run the tracks throgh it. That involves laying a concrete bed foundations taking it apart moving it reasembaling it ect

Is Moel-Y-Gest one of those "big train" locos? They come up on ebay fairly often.

How well do they run?

Yes, they'll only haul a couple of Mamod open waggons, so there not great. But as for a good starting point with Garden Railways.

I can certainly do the honours as far as a portable railway is concerned - feel free to browse the 'portable layout' thread and use whatever you like!!

Started building my line a couple of weeks ago so not realy got any pics yet but as soon as I do I will let you know.
Its only a bit of a temporary job as were only renting our house at the moment so dont want to make it too perminant till weve bought the place. Weve used decking for the track bed.
Loco fleet is getting silly though far to many locos (7 home fleet and 3 on loan) and only 16 yards of track down so far. Hopefully dads investing in some more track that will be on loan to me (glad hes only got a flat).
