German WorkmenJust thought I'd put up a little set of German figures. The oldest is probably made by Becker and dates to about 1910 (this figure was also made by Mohr and Krauss and may date to about 1905).
This second man is by Arnold. He's in great condition and also dates to about 1910.
This workman is made by Wilhelm Krauss and dates to about 1930.
The final guy, is the famous Fleischmann sausage maker and this example dates to the 1950's.
So a set of 4 German workmen built over a 40 year period.

Great figures Chris, I do love the early figures and think I need to add some to my collection one day.
Out of all the accessories workmen would be my favourite.

You've got a few nice figures already. I seem to remember you have a very good 60's Fleischmann figure and at least a couple of Wilesco men.

Yes they are sitting right next to me. They live on my computer desk and if my son is good I get them out of the box and let him play with them when I check my email. The wood cutter is his favourite.

Thanks. My collection is really mobiles but I've also tried to add in the odd workman / tool along the way. The biggest problem (as we've all found) with these early German pieces is, their are a lot out there and they are so good to collect.
My wish list would include a mobile from each of the great German firms and maybe at least one tool to go with the engine.
