GMES Small Model Steam Engine Group

today was the second metting of the   gmes  s.m.s.e.g.
it turned out to be a great afternoon, even tho we didnt know how many people would turn up,  if any. in the end about 10 people turned up.

a video of the day by me

thanks to paul and his daughter, for turning up, and bringing some nice engines to see.

the hobbies engine showed to be a fantastic runner.   smooth, silent and ran for over two hours with no refills.

we (hopefully i) picked up an rs1 set. with a ton of track.

havnt yet made an offer to the person, but hopefully it wont be to much.

Now you won't need to borrow my track.

A really good video. Many thanks for sharing that with us.

It was good to see a Wilesco roller in action, as I've just got one so nice to compare it with a working one.

I hope that the MSS loco was well oiled up when being pulled around dead. Nice on train video as well - seems to be the in thing on the Forum now.

That's right MM.  The Hobbies SE3 ran for over two hours on one boiler fill and with just two wicks of the five wick burner alight
