Good Friday - Didcot Railway Centre

Hello all! The syrtis returns after a short time away doing other stuff like building a 3.5" gauge loco, eating chocolate etc...

On Good Friday I visited Didcot and got a few pics for you all to enjoy:
The familiar sight of a GWR Pannier tank, chuffing marvellous!

The rather dark shed, full of Prarie Tank Locos, a Castle, and a couple of Halls.

A MSS saddle tank... err...  A GWR Saddle Tank Loco doing a bit of shunting

The ultimate home builders dream! A broad gauge loco 'FireFly' that looks old, but was actually completed in 1989 as a replica of Brunel's first Broad Gauge loco to be used! It works and everything! Aren't people clever these days

And as a bonus, here is a vid of that little Saddle tank pulling an impressive load:

Yes it is pulling that Prarie and Thomas all by its self! It's wheels slipped a few times but made it in the end.

I would have taken more pics but the weather was against it (rain was high on the agenda) and there wasn't much running. Still early in their season!
Anyway, hope you like these few glimpses of a great treasure hidden in Northern Wiltshire

I remember when the Bluebell's B4 'Normandy' pulled their Standard 4 tank No. 80151 out of the Park's (Sheffield Park) works after overhaul. I think the fireman was a bit too generous with the coal
