Got my CyldonWell that was quick delivery. I'm well happy.
Got the little engine today.
Everything is well oiled and moves freely.
The first thing to strike me was how light it was. Aluminium construction sure keeps the weight down.
The burner is a minor work of art and I was amazed to find that each wick tube could be removed making replacement of wicks a dawdle
Here are some pics just as I received it.

Cracker Sandy!
One thing - I'm pretty sure the wick tubes are supposed to be soldered in - they are on both of mine.

Looks good. Will look even better after a sm polish!
Might want to have a go at straightening the base a bit as long as it doesn't split or tear.
I would have thought being able to take the wick burner tubes out would be an advantage, as long as it doesn't leak meths.

Thanks guys.
Odilon, I'll certainly investigate the wick tubes but they are a pretty good push fit so I might just get away with it.
Chris. I intend to straighten the base as much as I safely can.
Lew. Yes I need to make a chimney for it.

Seems we both received our little ebay treasures today, as you will see elsewhere on this thread & bet you got the same thrill unpacking that box this morning
I do like that Cyldon & lovely to see more close up pics. Am sure you are enjoying your treasure as much as I'm enjoying mine

Thanks folks.
I've got a yen to steam this one before I touch it as I'm curious to see how it runs.
When I do. I'll have the video handy for a few clips.

That's just how mine looks Sandy... the base is bent in exactly the same way.
I didn't get a burner with mine, but I got one with my 13/1, and the wick tubes on that one are soldered in. Are the little rubber feet intact? They were perished or missing on mine, leaving the rivets loose in their holes.... haven't quite decided what to do about that yet. There's plenty of surface area to polish; I bet yours will be like a mirror!

My 13/3 has what I assumed were it`s original rubber feet.
Looking again I realise they are really rubber gromets, (old RUBBER, not modern plastic), 1/2" od 1/4" bore, slipped over the hollow rivets.
Apologies if you`ve already seen this pic.
Either original, or a later mod? Dunno!
Either way, it`s an easy way to solve the problem of no rubber feet.
Apologies if you`ve already seen this pic.

Thanks mate, good pics too.
Steve, the rubber feet are all there and a cursory attempt at straightening the base a bit went well with no preparation.
I've got high hopes for this one.
Scrounging about for some 3/4" tube for a chimney now.

Stilldrillin, that's a good idea about the grommets... I'll try that.
