There's a few here. I was in awe of the three large models and the other smaller ones were cracking too. The quadruple expansion enigne is a replica of one of the Titanics. Spectacular!

I can't even imagine a more impressive model.
thanks for posting - right up my street, lots of interesting details.
I love the rows of pressure gauges for each cylinder.
It looks like it should work, but I can't imagine that either.

Those engines looked like perhaps a lifetime's work...unbelieveable

There's the rest of the photos uploaded now. I've also attached a video. It was difficult to get a decent photo as there was no flash photography allowed in the museum and i'd already been scolded twice!

The sight of those photos are a revelation for sure. I would love to hear someone explain all how it all works and what each section does to support the behemoth in the middle of it all.
Thanks...sure keeps thing in persective

Weren't there two Stuart Turner engines in there as well?
Driving ancilliaries I suppose.
That's a museum I'd love to visit next time I'm in Germany.
Perhaps if I take Klaus, Joe and Mirko they might fire it up for us?
In your dreams, Bugsy...

That is one mighty impressive model.
Can you imagine the guy when he first started that, thinking how much more work was ahead of him.

It's good to see such beautiful models proudly on display too! A lot of museums here in the UK seem to pride themselves on putting exhibits like that out of the sight of the public and replaced with large interactive displays where children can press a button or wind a handle. It's the experience of seeing things like those that gives children (+ ADULTS) an enthusiasm and fondness for engineering which they'll probably keep with them throughout their life, much longer lasting than a museum exhibit where they got to press a button and make a light come on.
