Has Anyone Got......one of Geoffrey Malins' original 'G.M. Ball-race Turntables'?
I've only ever seen drawings of them, and it would be great if the earliest roots of Mamod were still around. Not looking to buy one, but would hope that the earliest products of the firm were still in existence.

Geoffrey Malins' first products, under the brand name GM Patents, were a range of ball race turntables. They were designed to go with Meccano and the like. This was long before the name Mamod (Malins Models) came into being.

I have seen line drawings of them, as in books, but have never seen a good photo of one. Might be a cool thing to add to ones collection.

Would be good to see one used as a display stand for a very early engine. A restored GM Turntable with a clear glass top, and an opposed twin on top... Definite front room / glass case display that one!
