Heating element fpr Wilesco D32Hi,
I have a friend who owns a wilesco D32, but the heating element is broken.
Can anyone suggest how to sort out this problem?
Where to get a propper fitting heater?
Or can the heating element be repaired?
He does not want to make it run on fire.
Please,

It should be repairable. It would have to be removed. If the part can not be gotten from Wilesco, one can be made, or mabe modify a Jensen heater. Having never seen one, is it a an imersion heater, or a blanket heater, or maybe something like the set up on a jensen 50.
I was under the impression it is some kind of blanket heater.
One way or the other, it is going to have to be taken apart. Could be something as simple as a small break in a connection somewhere.
I would offer to help, but there is the minor problem of geographical distance!!

I dont know the exact problem but like Owen said, it may be a loose connection. This happened with my jensen 3-4 times, I finally just gave it a heavy coating of solder, its been working fine since then.

I was told is is a heater like for an electric water jug...
And it is definetely broken inside (the heating wire)
Can anyone please send me a photo of how a jensen heater looks like?
Maybe we could use it then insted of the broken wilesco one (wilesco does not provide it anymore and there is no company who makes them like that anymore)

Here is the heater that is in my Jensen 35
I believe it is a coil of Nichrome wire sandwiched between two layers of Mica that is placed between two curved pieces of metal, I do not think that the radius of th4e boilers are the same, but a new 220V Jensen heater costs around $65 US plus postage.
It is possible to repair a heater, but not a job for the unskilled, a crimp of some sort is needed as the heated wire can melt solder. It might be worth a try to fix the Wilesco heater as there is little to lose if it doesnt work out.
