Hello all.A quick word to everyone worldwide thanking you for this forum.
I recently discovered this forum after firing up my TE1A & SE1A circa 1970s.
I have owned both from new and fired them up for the first time in 30 odd years with no more than a wipe down of dust, replacement of fibre washers, a fill of water and meths, a squirt of oil and a match.
After marvelling at them and wondering how I could find out more about Mamod and the steam engines that gave me great enjoyment in my youth the web answered, go to this site.
Many thanks & cheers.

Hi Craig, and Welcome to the forums
That's great you still have the engines after 30 years. You obviously looked after them well
I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

Hi Craig,
Welcome from Perth Western Australia.
I think that's the way a lot of us got involved here.
Mine was with a toy steam engine that was my Grandfathers when he was a boy.
Watch out you will soon be finding you will 'need' another steam engine.

Hi Craig, and welcome from western Canada!
Your story echos my own, and many others here.
Once you are settled in 'round here, you may find that your collection may start growing and taking up WAY more shelf space... I know mine sure did...
Looking forward to posts and pics of your engines.
Cheers

Re Hello allAppreciate the warm welcome from everyone, will post pics of my two engines in a few weeks as well as my live steam Bassett Lowke locomotive which is a fantastic runner I have short videos of it running on a friends track which may interest some.
Some of you mentioned ebay, well it's too late my O gauge train collection has originated mostly from there and yes the available space is becoming less but a portable outside garden railway is planned for this year family permitting, cheers.
