Hello All!!I thought i might introduce myself as Ive just joined.
My name Is Thomas Macey, I'm 20 years old and I live in the delightful Town of Reading, Berkshire
Ive had a interest in steam power all my life but it wasnt until I was 12 that I was given my first steam toy, A 1970's Mamod SE1A which had never been steamed. Over the next couple of years I was given more Mamod models for birthday and christmas presents until one day I was given A restoration project by my uncle. This was a Marklin 4161/94/11 built between 1923-1928 twin cylinder electric light plant although sadly one cylinder is missing. It was with the Marklin that I was introduced to the pre-war manufactures and now that I work I have built up a large collection of Pre-war German Steam toys, many of which I can safely steam. I will try to post some pictures of my collection shortly, including the Marklin, which at the moment only two others are known to exist in the world.
I hope to hear from you all soon
Thomas

Also a big Hello and Welcome from me
I am curious to see your engines...
Maybe you need some tips in restoring? Or you can give some to me?

Tips or Engines?
I too am anxious to see your engines.
Oh yes, I hope my American sense of humor is of no offense to Damp, just making a joke.
