Hello from DevonHello all,
Having started a thread which has been going for a few weeks I guess I should say a few words about me.
I'm male, retired, married, with a small 32mm gauge 16mm scale garden railway. I have a Jane, a Roundhouse Billy, an Accucraft Caradoc, an ancient Merlin, the experts say it is a Midas, though the works plate says it is a Monarch and an old Locomotion steam railcar, which I have fitted with a new steam motor, still using the original boiler. I also have a few battery powered diesel type things and, for a bit of fun, an airscrew powered two-seater 'sports' railcar.
My thread is the one in the locomotives section 'Traction Engine to Locomotive' which is about converting an old Mamod traction engine to an overtype loco. This is the only Mamod product that I currently own.
So you can guess I love messing around, altering things. I have a little lathe and a little milling machine and thoroughly enjoy myself in my little shed workshop.

Hello from John in Indiana USA, they do not have to be Mamods to interest us. I would love to hear more about your Railway and Locos. I have 4 Locos myself, all 32mm gauge, Mamod SL3, Mamod 1351, Bowman 234, and a handbuilt DeWinton Idris.
