Hello from steamenginedriver

Hello.. I'm nick, a friend of Emily who joined earlier..

I'm 21, at Notts Trent UNI but at the moment i'm on a years work placement.
I have quite a similar life story to Em, I've been around full size steam all my life. My uncle owns a Foster Traction Engine which we take to steam rallies in the summer.. (pics to follow)

I also own a fordson major, and my uncle has a series 2 marshall.
I can swing it. so to Em hehe!!

I have a confession. I don't actually own a mamod. but I do have a wilesco (D21) along with about 10 or so workshop tools to go with it.

Hi Nick.

Welcome to the forum.

Your Wilesco is fine here, and hopefully we'll widen your perspective a bit.

A lot of us here are into full size steam, but unfortunately we have niether room or resources.

We look forward to sharing your experiences.

SED and Em, welcome to the forum. Great photos...Loved that one of your
Uncle's steaming down the road with the Fordson nearby. I really liked
Em's, too...it looks like a Mamod!
James

Aye, Ian hardly ever goes to the rallies, only to collect/drop the engines off.
Wallace

Welcome to the forums Steam Engine Driver. Hope you enjoy it here

I'm doing Computer Studies at Notts Trent, mainly doing programming, etc..
Currently I'm on a years work placement before I go back for my final year.

Aah, not something I know much about. I just about manage to send and receive e-mail.

Have you made your mind up about any particular career choices yet?
