What a fantastic forum this is, already I have had some great replies to finding out Mamod production figures for SE ranges and some nice welcomes.
With the on set of middle age and I am trying to do all those things I wanted to do as a child but could not or in the case of owning a mamod, it was you are not having one of those, dangerous stink the house out, set fire to things, big boys things etc, the usual reasons given to a lad growing up in the 60's and early 70's.
So I am looking forward to restoring or renovating an SE of some type, I have restored many a mantle clock and I know what that the thrill of bringing back to life, restoring the heart to a mechanically object can be.
It is almost like that bit in Dr Frankenstein when you get the thing to go "behold I am the giver of life" but not too many monsters I hope!!
