Hello!Hi, just thought I should introduce myself. I'm 43 and have always loved trains and steam. I didn't get too much into it when I was younger because it was seen as a boy thing. However, my brother's old Mamod Minor 1 recently emerged in a clear out of my parents' house and I've claimed it. I have a mate who's into steam as well, and he's going to come over and help me get it running. I also have a grinder and power hammer, and I'm seriously thinking about getting a lineshaft and the polisher, press and some other bits as well. My husband thinks I'm regressing to my childhood  (this could also have something to do with the collecting of kids' books I have as well  )
I found this forum on Google and I like the look of it, it works the same way as the book forum I belong to, so I can find my way around, and I look forward to discussing my steam adventures with you all
